01 / About the treatment

What is Deep Tissue?

Deep Tissue is a massage using slower, targeted movements and sustained pressure. Alongside hands and fingers, forearms and elbows may be used. The wellness treatment aims for a sense of release through an individually adapted approach.

02 / What to expect

What to expect

  1. Focus areas and comfortable pressure limits are agreed.
  2. Slow movements and gradually adapted intensity guide the treatment.
  3. Your feedback determines the pace and depth of pressure.
  4. At the end, the treated areas are checked for comfort and any tenderness is discussed.

Firmer pressure with clear boundaries

Deep Tissue uses slower strokes and sustained pressure on agreed areas of muscle tension. Alongside palms and fingers, the therapist may use forearms or elbows. Intensity increases gradually, guided by your response.

Firmer touch does not mean you need to tolerate pain. Speak up if pressure is too strong or you feel unusual discomfort; the treatment can be adjusted or stopped.

Choose a focus, not maximum force

The treatment may suit those who enjoy firmer massage, including after an active day or long periods of sitting. Rather than trying to cover everything at once, agree on the areas you would like the most time devoted to.

Seek medical advice first for a recent injury, unexplained pain or a health condition. In particular, check whether firm pressure is suitable if you have an increased risk of bleeding or fractures. Wellness massage does not replace medical assessment.

Who it is for

For people who prefer firmer touch and want a focused massage after an active or demanding day.

Treatments are intended for wellness care and relaxation and do not replace medical advice. If you have a health condition or are unsure whether a treatment is suitable, consult your doctor beforehand.
